Common questions.
Do I need a card reader or POS system?
No. Everything is app-based — players pay their entry fees directly in the app via card. Nothing to install at the venue.
How fast can I set up my first event?
Under 15 minutes. Create the event, set the format and prize split, invite players by phone number or share link. Sign-ups run through Stripe. You're done.
What's the platform fee?
6% on Starter, 4% on Pro, 3% on Premium. That is Skedge's fee; payment processing is billed separately at cost (2.9% + $0.30 per transaction), so nothing is marked up.
Do I need a long-term contract?
No. Monthly plans, cancel anytime. If you cancel mid-month, we prorate the difference.
How do refunds work?
You set the refund policy per event. When someone drops out, Skedge processes the refund before Stripe payout — no chasing Venmo receipts.
What sports does Skedge run?
Tennis, padel, and pickleball. Tournaments run as single elimination, double elimination, group play, or compass draw. Leagues run as singles, fixed pairs, rotating partners, Americano, or team leagues.
How do players get paid prize money?
Players verify identity once (Stripe Connect), then prize money lands in their in-app wallet. They withdraw to their bank whenever they want.
