1How refund policies work

Every paid event on Skedge carries a refund policy chosen by its organizer: full refund, a percentage, a cutoff before the start time, no refunds, or case-by-case. You see that policy on the confirmation screen before you pay, and the version you accepted is locked to your registration — if the organizer changes the policy later, your original terms still apply.

2If the organizer cancels the event

You get 100% of what you paid back, regardless of the event's withdrawal policy. Skedge absorbs its own platform fee in this case. Refunds are issued automatically when the organizer cancels through the app.

3If you withdraw

The event's published policy applies. Skedge's platform fee (5% of the entry fee) is not returned; the rest is refunded to your original payment method. Payment processing is billed to the organizer at cost and is never added to or withheld from your entry fee.

4How to get a refund

Refunds are issued by the organizer from inside Skedge. There is no self-service refund button today — contact the organizer through the event page, and they process the refund in the app. It returns to your original payment method.

5Processing time

Refunds typically take 5–10 business days to appear, depending on your payment method and financial institution.

6Platform fees

Important Notice

Skedge's platform fee is 5% of the entry fee. It is not returned on player-initiated refunds. It is returned — absorbed by Skedge — when an organizer cancels an event. Payment processing is billed to the organizer at cost and is never charged to you on top of the entry fee.

7Disputes

Disputes regarding refunds should be resolved directly with the tournament organizer. Skedge is not responsible for mediating refund disputes between organizers and participants. If a refund you were promised does not arrive, contact us — we can see the payment record.
