1Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Skedge application (“App”) and services (“Services”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Services.

2Description of Service

Skedge provides a mobile application for managing tennis tournaments, including bracket generation, participant management, score tracking, and payment processing for entry fees and prize payouts.

3User Accounts

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • You may not use the account of another user without permission

4User Conduct

You agree not to:

Use the Services for any unlawful purpose
Harass, abuse, or harm other users
Submit false or misleading information
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
Interfere with or disrupt the Services
Use automated means to access the Services without permission

5Tournament Organization

As a tournament organizer, you are responsible for:

  • Accurately representing tournament details (dates, location, format)
  • Managing participants fairly and appropriately
  • Recording accurate match scores and results
  • Distributing prize money as advertised
  • Complying with all applicable local laws and regulations

6Payments

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. By using our payment features, you also agree to Stripe's terms of service. Entry fees and payouts are subject to a 5% platform fee.

7Intellectual Property

The Skedge App, including its design, features, and content, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission.

8Disclaimers

Important Notice

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

We are not responsible for disputes between tournament organizers and participants, including but not limited to match outcomes, prize distributions, or refunds.

9Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SKEDGE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES.

10SMS Communications

By providing your phone number or being registered for a tournament by an organizer, you consent to receive transactional SMS messages from Skedge related to tournament participation, including registration confirmations, profile claim invitations, match schedules, and result notifications.

  • Message frequency varies by tournament activity (typically 1-5 messages per event)
  • Standard message and data rates may apply
  • Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time
  • We do not send marketing or promotional SMS messages

11Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may also delete your account at any time.

12Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of significant changes.

13Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
